TRAVIS MAHONEY
Travis is the personification of hard work and dedication.
His passion for the sport is on display 24/7—not only through his esteemed running career—but in his commitment to developing the younger generations. Travis first started his coaching journey in 2015 when he coached St. Joseph Metuchen XC to their first Meet of Champions birth since 1999. He then spent 6 years coaching at his alma mater, Old Bridge HS, where he became the first coach in NJ history to have 2 athletes from the same high school run sub-1:50 for 800m (Rey Rivera 1:49.59 '17, Nick Medeiros 1:49.75 '21). Travis then coached Westfield girl sprinters from 2023-2024, where they set 17 sprint and relay school records. Travis has bridged the gap to the roads coaching multiple Boston Marathon Qualifiers, first-time Marathoners to US Olympic Trials Competitors.
A professional runner for over a decade, Travis is one of the fastest-distance runners New Jersey has ever seen. Combining his personal coaching and racing experiences, Travis is one of the most qualified coaches to see you to your next PR!
